All work Case study / Shopify
Byron Bay Cookie Company.
Baked in Byron Bay since 1990. A house of three brands — Byron Bay Cookies, Luken & May biscuits and Falwasser crispbreads — sold as gifting and everyday ranges direct to households, and as bulk trays into cafes across Australia.

The approach
Built for
the business.
What we did
- Custom Shopify theme built on Dawn, so a small team can merchandise a seasonal gifting calendar without a developer
- Three brands running off a single catalogue: brand is a facet on one all-products collection, not three storefronts, so each brand gets its own menu without another collection to maintain
- Byron Bay Cookies deliberately held in front as the hero brand, with Luken & May and Falwasser reachable in a click rather than competing for the homepage
- Filtering that cuts across the whole house at once — by brand, by flavour and by diet — so gluten free, vegan and protein are an axis through every range rather than a shelf at the end
- Gifting treated as its own product type: hampers, floral gift tins and cookie jars assembled from the same stock the retail ranges draw on
- A cafe and bulk pathway alongside retail, for venues buying trays rather than households buying gifts
- Okendo reviews, Klaviyo email and Shopify Markets for selling beyond Australia
The stack
- Shopify
- Okendo
- Klaviyo
